Nice, 1976. Following the failure of her marriage, Agnès Le Roux returns to her mother Renée, owner of the Casino Le Palais de la Méditerranée. The young lady who is also shareholder of the Casino falls madly in love with Renée's advisor, Maurice Agnelet. Agnès wants to sell her family heritage to become independent, but her mother refuses.
